How it Happened
The Wizards controlled the game from the opening tip, jumping out to an 11-2 lead and coasting to a 102-91 Christmas Day victory at the Garden. The Knicks would pull to within 11 points in the 4th quarter, but were no match for Washington on this day.
Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 34 points, but it wasn't enough as John Wall (24 points and 11 assists) directed the Wizards offense to 51.2 percent shooting for the game.
Jose Calderon (16 points) and Cole Aldrich (10) were the only other Knicks to score in double figures.
