OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

1. ELIGIBILITY: KNICKS SHOW YOUR FAN PRIDE! CONTEST (“Contest”) is open only to legal residents of NY, NJ, PA and CT, who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Proof of residency and age may be required. All entrants who enter the Contest via the Internet must be “Authorized Account Holders” of the e-mail address submitted as of 10/21/09. An “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person 21 years of age or older who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, education institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Employees, officers, directors and representatives of NYP Holdings, Inc. d/b/a the New York Post (“NYP”) (hereinafter, “Sponsor”), Madison Square Garden, L.P. (“MSG”), The National Basketball Association (“NBA”) (collectively, “Prize Providers”), and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions and licensors, and each of their respective owners, general and limited partners, directors, officers, agents, employees and advertising/promotion agencies (collectively, “Related Entities”) and immediate family members (spouse and parents, siblings and children and their spouses) and persons living in the same households of each of the above (whether related or not) are ineligible. Any person who has been selected as a prize winner and agreed to accept such prize in any sweepstakes or contest sponsored by Sponsor during the six (6) month period immediately preceding the start date of the entry period of this Contest is ineligible to win a prize in this Contest. Void outside NY, NJ, PA and CT and where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws apply.

2. HOW TO ENTER: No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. The Contest entry period begins at 12:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on 10/30/09 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on 11/15/09 (hereinafter, “Contest Period”).. You may enter the Contest via the Knicks twitter account, the Knicks Facebook page or via e-mail at Knicksfan@thegarden.com. SOCIAL MEDIA ENTRIES: To enter via TWITTER, enter at @thenyknicks in 140 characthers or less why describing how you show your Knicks fan pride and how you will declare yourself a Knicks fan (pictures can be attached too). To enter via Facebook, click on the appropriate link at facebook.com/nyknicks and describe in 150 words or less how you show your Knicks fan pride and why you believe that you are the biggest Knicks fan. To enter via e-mail, e-mail Knicksfan@thegarden.com and in 150 words or less describe how you show your Knicks fan pride and why you believe that you are the biggest Knicks fan All Entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on 11/15/09. Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of entry method during the Contest Period. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner if a selected winning entry is an Internet Entry, such winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the e-mail account associated with the provided e-mail address is opened at the time of entry. In the event the same written essay is submitted by more than one entrant, the first entry received will be accepted and all additional duplicate entries will be deemed void. Mechanically reproduced or computer generated entries (except as permitted in these Official Rules) are ineligible and will be disqualified. Neither Sponsor, Prize Providers, nor Related Entities are responsible for (1) lost, delayed, late, misdirected, unreadable, incomprehensible, unintelligible, incomplete, mutilated, inaccurate, damaged, destroyed, forged, tampered with or stolen entries; (2) entries otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules; (3) busy signals or any other unsuccessful attempts at entering; or (4) errors in any Contest related advertisements or other materials (including, but not limited to these Official Rules, or in any Contest related advertisements or other materials) or other errors of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic or otherwise. Your entry constitutes your consent to participate in this Contest and your consent for Sponsor to obtain and deliver your name, address, E-mail address or cellular phone number and other information for the purpose of administering this Contest and for other uses by Sponsor as permitted by applicable law. All entries generated by a script, macro or other automated/repetitive electronic means (except as permitted in these Official Rules) will be disqualified and ineligible for the Contest. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. All requested entry information must be provided in English to enter and be eligible to win. No previously published essays, articles or award winning papers will qualify as an entry. Entries that are deemed by the judges to be immoral, obscene, profane, lewd, or not in keeping with Sponsor’s image or in violation of these Official Rules may be disqualified. By entering the Contest, entrants agree that the Sponsor, Prize Providers and Related Entities shall have the right to edit, modify, publish, use, reuse, not use, or otherwise exploit the essay, and any materials based thereon or derived from, in any manner, for any lawful purposes whatsoever, including, without limitation, for use in the packaging, or for promotion or advertising purposes in any medium (whether now or hereafter known) throughout the world in perpetuity without further permission, consideration, or payment to the entrant, except where prohibited by law. By submitting your entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is 100% original and was created solely by you, that the entry does not incorporate any material owned by any third party, and that use of the entry as described herein will not violate any law or infringe upon the rights of any third party. If, in the opinion of the judges, Sponsor, Prize Providers or Related Entities, the entry violates any law or infringes upon the rights of any third party, the Sponsor may disqualify the entry. Ownership of all rights, title and interest in and to any intellectual property rights contained or embodied in or appurtenant to the entries in connection with this Contest (“Intellectual Property”) including, but not limited to rights in any copyrights, trademarks and trade names shall, when applicable, be assigned to the Sponsor upon submission of the entry. The Intellectual Property shall become the sole property of the Sponsor.

3. JUDGING CRITERIA: Potential prize winners will be selected based on the following judging criteria: (i) how the entrant describes how he/she shows his/her Knicks fan pride (0-50 points) and (ii) how the entrant describes why he/she believes that he/she is the biggest Knicks fan (0-50 points). Based on the above judging criteria, the eligible entry with the highest cumulative score will be selected as the potential Grand Prize Winner. Odds of winning depend on the nature, quality and number of eligible entries received. In the event of a tie, the tied entrants will be re-judged by an additional judge who will serve as a tie-breaker using the same criteria as outlined herein. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest. In the event that an insufficient number of qualified entries are received during the Contest Period (as determined by the judges), the Contest will be cancelled and the prizes will not be awarded.

4. CLAIMING PRIZE/RELEASE: Eligibility, age and prize claim by prize winners is subject to verification. Potential prize winners will be notified by phone after 1:00 PM ET on 11/17/09. Sponsor is not obligated to leave voice mail, answering machine or other message. On or about 11/17/09, each potential prize winner will be sent (via e-mail or fax and/or other means determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) a Prize Verification Form together with a publicity release (hereinafter, “Prize Verification Form and Release”) for such potential prize winner. Each potential prize winner will be required to complete and return (as directed by Sponsor) a Prize Verification Form and Release to Sponsor so that it is received by Sponsor no later than 1:00 PM ET on 11/18/09 (or other date and/or time as determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor) or, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, such potential prize winner’s prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next highest scoring entry. Sponsor shall have no liability for any potential prize winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by a potential prize winner for any reason. In Sponsor’s sole discretion, if a potential prize winner: (i) is unreachable or prize winner notification is returned as undeliverable; (ii) declines or cannot accept, receive or use the prize for any reason; or (iii) fails to comply with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the next highest scoring entry. Forfeited prizes may not be awarded. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the notification and “Prize Verification Form and Release” procedures in connection with the notification of alternate potential prize winners(s), if any. Sponsor is not responsible for fraudulent calls or e-mails made to entrants not by the judging organization. Limit one (1) prize per household.

5. PRIZES AND THEIR APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”): ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: Grand Prize consists of two (2) Club tickets for 2009-10 Game at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY game TBD. ARV (“ARV”) of Grand Prize: $480 ($240/ticket). Prize winners must personally pick up tickets at Madison Square Garden Box Office Will Call Window during normal business hours and prior to selected game. Prize Winners will be required to present a valid form of government-issued photo identification. If a prize winner does not personally pick up his/her tickets or does not present a valid form of government-issued photo identification, the tickets will not be released. Exact seating is to be designated by Sponsor. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in these Official Rules including but not limited to, ground transportation, parking fees, gasoline, tolls, lodging, meals, beverages, gratuities, souvenirs and upgrades will be the sole responsibility of each prize winner.. Prize winners may not choose the cash value in lieu of the prize. No substitution, assignment, or transfer of any prize is permitted. In the event a prize is unavailable for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Unclaimed Prizes will not be awarded. In the event a prize winner and/or his/her guest engages during the Game in behavior that (as determined by Sponsor in Sponsor’s sole discretion) is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the prize early, in whole or in part, and send the prize winner and his/her guest home from the Game with no further compensation. Prize winners are solely responsible for the payment of any and all applicable federal, state and local taxes on prize. The ARV of each prize set forth above represents Sponsor’s good faith determination of the ARV thereof, and the actual fair market values, as ultimately determined by Sponsor, are final and binding and cannot be challenged or appealed. In the event the stated ARV of a prize is more than the actual fair market value of that prize, the difference will not be awarded in cash or otherwise. Sponsor has made no warranty or guarantee in whole or in part, express or implied, in fact or in law, in relation to any prize including, but not limited to, its quality, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or suitability for use and, further, accepts no responsibility for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of any government or authority.

6. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes Winner(s)’ consent to the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, Madison Square Garden, L.P., NBA Enterprises, New York Post, The New York Knickerbockers and each of their respective parents subsidiaries and affiliates use of Winners’ name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration. The use of all such information shall be in accordance with the Madison Square Garden’s Privacy Policy.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects and cannot be appealed. By entering, each entrant agrees and acknowledges that Sponsor, Prize Providers and Related Entities are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, stolen, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries; (ii) telephone system, technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections or transmissions, disconnections or other errors of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses, costs, expenses or damages to person or property of any kind caused, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by a prize or resulting from acceptance, redemption, possession, loss, use or misuse of any prize or from participating in the Contest or any Contest related activity, or inability to participate in the Contest; or (v) any printing, typographical, human, administrative or technological errors in any material associated with the Contest. In the event more prize winner notifications are issued, or more winning claims are received, than the number of prizes set forth in these Official Rules due to computer, printing, seeding, human or other error or problem, a random drawing will take place from among all eligible prize claims for the prize(s) at issue to award the proper number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules. Inclusion in such drawing shall be each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances. No more than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. By accepting a prize, prize winners agree and acknowledge that Sponsor, Prize Providers and Related Entities and any of their designees may, without limitation or further compensation, use his/her name, voice, biographical data, picture, likeness, city name and audio and/or video recording of him/her in any and all media now known or hereinafter devised, throughout the universe and perpetuity, for the purpose of advertising and promoting the Contest, any other promotion, contest or Contest sponsored by the Sponsor, or for any other promotional purpose, except where prohibited by law. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system related to or resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this Contest (or any portion of the Contest) should an error or a virus, bug, computer problem or any other cause or problem corrupt or inhibit the administration, security or proper operation of the Contest and, in such situation, to select the Winner from among the remaining eligible non-suspect entries received prior to and/or after the action taken or in such manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In the event that the Contest is modified, cancelled or suspended, notification of such event will be posted at www.nypost.com/promotions. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor’s representatives. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event will attorneys’ fees be awarded or recoverable; and (3) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and each entrant hereby knowingly and expressly waives all rights to seek, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and/or any other damages, other than actual out of pocket expenses, and/or any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. In the event the Sponsor, Prize Providers or Related Entities are prevented from continuing with this Contest, or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Contest is undermined by any event including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute, or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state, provincial or local government law, order of regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within the Sponsor’s, Prize Providers’ or Related Entities’ control (each a “Force Majeure” event) the Sponsor, Prize Providers and Related Entities shall have the right, in their sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the Contest without notice or further obligation. If the Sponsor, Prize Providers or Related Entities, in their discretion, elect to abbreviate, cancel or terminate the Contest as a result of a Force Majeure event, the Sponsor, Prize Providers and Related Entities reserve the right, but shall have no obligation, to award the prizes from among all valid and eligible entries received up to the time of such Force Majeure event. The interpretation of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York exclusively and solely by and within the courts of that state without regard to choice of law principles. The National Basketball Association, its member professional basketball clubs, NBA Properties, LLC and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and employees (collectively, the “NBA Entities”), and Madison Square Garden, L.P., will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this Contest or any prize awarded. The NBA Entities have not offered or sponsored this Contest in any way.
