Knicks Look Into the Future in Vegas
The Knicks were able to draw many positives from the play at the 2009 NBA Summer League. First-round picks Jordan Hill and Toney Douglas showed flashes of brilliance during the five-game series. Hill, the No. 8 overall pick, led the summer team in points and rebounds per game with 14.4 and 8.2, respectively. Douglas, acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers on draft day, was the team leader in assists with 7.0 per game and Morris Almond was a joy for the Knicks, scoring in double figures in all five games, finishing with a 14.0 scoring average.
