Knicks Say "Thank You Fans" at Fan Appreciation Night

NEW YORK, April 9, 2010 – The New York Knickerbockers show its appreciation to the greatest fans in the NBA by putting the entertainment elements of the final home game of the season in their hands. On Monday, Apr. 12, the Knicks will host the Washington Wizards at Madison Square Garden and all of the game’s event presentation will have been decided by fans’ online votes. Fans who visited participated in a number of in-game categories to make the night one of the most exciting of the season. "To show our appreciation for the NBA’s most passionate and loyal fans, we’re thrilled to have them choose key game presentation elements for the final game of the season," said Howard Jacobs, senior vice president, marketing and ticket sales, MSG Sports.  

Along with the online fan voting, those in attendance will also have the chance to weigh in on additional in-game elements. There will be various music selections voted on via text message and the Knicks City Dancers will perform routines selected by fans’ applause. During the game, the Knicks will also thank their fans with random acts of appreciation throughout the arena with “pop-up” prize voucher and player autographed items giveaways and T-shirt tosses.
