Sweepstakes Period: Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 AM on October 29, 2008 and ends at 5:30PM on December 15, 2008 ("Sweepstakes Period").
Sponsor: Madison Square Garden, L.P.
How to Enter: (a) Go to www.nyknicks.com to submit your full name, mailing address, age, e-mail address and daytime and evening phone numbers. Limit: one (1) entry per person regardless of method of entry. If more than one entry is submitted by any person or email address, only the first entry received will be eligible. Winners will be determined in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. All entry forms become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor may share all entry forms and other data collected in connection with this Sweepstakes as outlined in accordance with its privacy policy found at http://msg.com/privacy_policy.jsp. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes, or prevent an entrant from participating if fraud or other failure destroys the integrity of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, mail delay, seeding or printing errors, lost/delayed/garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, ineligible, damaged or misdirected entries or any typographical or other errors in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prizes. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If, in Sponsor's opinion, this Sweepstakes is compromised or becomes corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend the Sweepstakes and, in such event, to select the winners by randomly drawing from among all valid entries received, up to such time of cancellation, termination, or suspension.
Eligibility: Sweepstakes open to legal US residents, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, who live within a 75-mile radius of Madison Square Garden arena ("MSG"). Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees and directors of Madison Square Garden, L.P., the New York Knicks, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties Inc. (collectively, "NBA Entities"), their respective parent corporations, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, their respective advertising and promotion agencies and immediate family members and persons living in the same households of the above are ineligible. The term "immediate family" shall mean spouses, parents, siblings, children, grandparents and grandchildren.
Selection of Winners: On or about December 17, 2008, the winners will be selected by Sponsor in a random drawing from and among all eligible entries received. Winners will be notified via telephone on or about November 17, 2008. If a winner is unreachable or does not make direct contact with Sponsor by the date specified in the notification or fails to accept the prize, such winner will forfeit the prize in its entirety and an alternate winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Sponsor's decisions on the selection of winners, and all matters relating to this Sweepstakes, shall be final.
Prizes:Grand Prize: Four (4) grand prize winners will each receive one (1) ticket to sit courtside with the Knicks broadcast team during a 2008-09 NY Knicks regular season home game (to be selected by Sponsor) - Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $1,900 per ticket. First Prize: Ten (10) first prize winners will each receive two (2) "Legends Section" tickets to a Knicks regular season home game during the 2008-09 season (to be selected by Sponsor), a pre-game dinner at the Club Bar and Grill located inside MSG and a Knicks gift bag (contents determined by Sponsor) – ARV: $200 per package. Second Prize: Ten (10) second prize winners will each receive two (2) "lower bowl" tickets to a 2008-09 Knicks home game (to be selected by Sponsor) - ARV $220. Third Prize: Six (6) third prize winners will each receive a $100 Knicks gift card valid for good towards purchase of Knicks merchandise at www.nyknicks.com or for Knicks tickets at the MSG Box Office – ARV - $100 per card. Fourth Prize: Six (6) fourth prize winners will each receive a $50 Knicks gift card good towards purchase of Knicks merchandise at www.nyknicks.com or for Knicks tickets at the MSG Box Office – ARV: $50 per card. Fifth Prize: Eighteen (18) fifth prize winners will each receive a $25 gift card – ARV: $25 per card.
Prize Conditions: Winners are solely responsible for any expenses, including transportation to and from MSG, food and beverages and any other costs not expressly described as part of the prize they have been selected to receive. Prizes cannot be transferred, substituted, assigned, or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. In the event of prize unavailability, any prize or any portion of any prize may be substituted for one of equal or greater value, in Sponsor's sole discretion. Winners may be required to return to Sponsor a completed and notarized Affidavit of Eligibility and Waiver/Release within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt of such Affidavit and Release, which will be sent to the selected winner on or about the date the selected winner is notified. If a winner fails to return the completed and signed Affidavit and Release within the time period specified in the notification, or if a winner is found to be ineligible, or if a winner does not comply with these Official Rules, then such winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries, time permitting. All federal, state and local taxes, if any, will be the sole responsibility of winners.
Liability: By entry into the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects. By entry into the Sweepstakes, participants agree that the New York Knicks, Madison Square Garden, L.P, the NBA Entities and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this Sweepstakes shall not be liable for (i) injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or from the acceptance or use of any prize awarded; or (ii) any failure of any event described herein to occur or a specified individual to appear (in which case, Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute the affected prize). Except where prohibited by law, by participating in this Sweepstakes, winners consent to the use of their name, photo, video image, biographical data and/or likeness for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes by Sponsor as determined in Sponsor's discretion without additional compensation in all media now known or hereafter discovered, world wide and on the World Wide Web without notice, review, or approval, unless otherwise prohibited by law and upon request agrees to provide consent in writing to such use.
Sweepstakes Conditions: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. By participating, entrants waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. By providing your e-mail address you consent to being contacted by e-mail by Sponsor, the Knicks and their affiliated companies. WINNERS AND ENTRANTS RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS, THE KNICKS, MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, L.P., THE NBA ENTITIES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM AND AGAINST ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, INJURY OR LOSSES, TO ANY PERSON (INCLUDING DEATH), OR PROPERTY, OF ANY KIND RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE OR USE OF ANY PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES RELATED ACTIVITY OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.
Claims/Choice of Law: (a) Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes (if any) but in no event attorneys fees; and (b) under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrants hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses, and hereby waives all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant, or Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without regard for conflicts of law doctrine, and all proceedings shall take place in that State. All participants who enter the Sweepstakes agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of New York and agree to waive the right to a jury trial with respect to any claim or dispute with regard to any aspect of the Sweepstakes or Sweepstakes Rules.
