ESPN.com - Andy KatzCurtis Borchardt - 7-0, C, Jr., Stanford
"The Knicks desperately want to move up higher in this draft, but if they can't, they still have some intriguing decisions. Borchardt answers the big man question and would be hard to pass up. He'll work out for the Knicks in the next week after completing his studies at Stanford this quarter. Borchardt still hasn't technically announced he'll stay in the draft. If he does, he won't drop too low if the Knicks pass up on this shooting big man. The Knicks are also intrigued by Wilcox and could go with him instead of he were to fall. Dajuan Wagner is an option, but the Knicks are guard heavy. The two possible sleeper picks for the Knicks are Qyntel Woods and Nene Hilario. Both would answer some scoring issues on the wing and a power player inside."ESPN.com Insider - Chris FordInsider's Pick: Chris Wilcox, PF, Maryland
No. 2: Curtis Borchardt, C, 7-0, Jr. , Stanford
Sleeper Pick: Dajuan Wagner, PG, 6-3, Fr., Memphis
"The Skinny: Knicks president Scott Layden wants Yao, but he doesn't have enough assets to work out a trade. Wilcox, if he's available here, would give the Knicks a young, strong and explosive power forward they've been looking for. Lots of folks have Borchardt projected here just because he's a big man. The problem is that the Knicks still believe in Marcus Camby as a center. There are a lot of rumors about Wagner and the Knicks floating around New York, but they're mostly hype. Unless Layden can find a way to move Charlie Ward or Mark Jackson, he just can't afford to put another guard on the roster."SportingNews.comDajuan Wagner, PG, 6-3, Fr., Memphis
"A jitterbug-type. Must prove in workouts he can run the point in the NBA. So far, so good."
MSNBC.comCurtis Borchardt, C, 7-0, Jr., Stanford
"It's hard to ignore skilled 7-footers. The Stanford big man can score inside and block shots. Conspiracy theorists thought the NBA would send Ming to the Big Apple; this is the other center in the draft."
CBS Sportsline.com - Tony MejiaChris Wilcox - F, 6-10, 220 lbs, Maryland
"Wilcox is the most athletic frontcourt player to come out since Antonio McDyess in '95. He's further along than last year's top two picks, Kwame Brown and Tyson Chandler, and still has a huge upside. He's still a raw project, but could ultimately develop into the best frontcourt player in this draft. The Knicks will also look hard at Stanford center Curtis Borchardt and European small forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili."
CNNSI.comChris Wilcox - F, 6-10, 220 lbs, Maryland
"New York loves Latrell Sprewell, and Wilcox is like a bigger version of Sprewell -- one who rebounds more and shoots less."
