  • Brendan Suhr Q&A
This year the Knicks will have three selections in the NBA Draft, two first round picks (8 and 30), and one pick in the second round (54). Therefore, there is three times the preparation as last years draft where the knicks had only one second round choice (43). Knicks Assistant Coach/Director of Player Personnel, Brendan Suhr, discusses his thoughts on the NBA Draft class of 2005 and how the Knicks are preparing for the June 28 Draft.

    Dell Demps Q&A
Dell Demps is in his fourth season on the Knicks’ staff, and was promoted to his new role as Director of Pro Player Personnel in May after serving as a scout for the past three seasons. Dell talked to NYKnicks.com about his role as one of the main evaluators of basketball talent for the New York Knicks.

    Isiah Thomas Q&A
New York Knicks President, Basketball Operations, Isiah Thomas, addressed members of the media at the NBA Pre-draft Camp in Chicago. The questions concerned the Knicks current coaching situation as well as the level of talent within this years draft class.

    Draft Preview: Big Men
Part one of a three-part series of NYKnicks.com Draft Previews. The New York Knicks are the most vertically challenged NBA team in the paint. More than in any other area, the Knicks need to improve on defense. Make no mistake, these two indisputable facts have more than a little to do with each other. Knicks President, Basketball Operations, Isiah Thomas has flatly stated “we’ll pick the best player available”, yet expect him to look hard and long at improving the inside situation in the draft. Here is a list of the best available big men in this year's NBA Draft.

    Draft Preview: Swing Men
Part two of a three-part series of NYKnicks.com Draft Previews. A pure perimeter gunner with range stretches defenses, opening up all kinds of driving lanes for the Marbury and Crawford-type slashing scorers; that type of player’s very presence creates superior shots for others, an essential chemical factor the Knicks simply did not have. A pure perimeter gunner is also a priceless weapon in those all-important end-game situations, an area the Knicks struggled in so mightily last season. Thus look for President, Basketball Operations Isiah Thomas to give prime precedence to a pure perimeter shooter with range and athleticism on June 28th. Here is a list of the top swingmen on the board.

    Draft Preview: Point Guards
Part three of a three-part series of NYKnicks.com Draft Previews. What would be the point? Already thriving with the superb Stephon Marbury -- the team’s premiere player and unquestionably one of the best in the NBA at the position -- why would Knicks President, Basketball Operations Isiah Thomas spend one of his trio of valued selections on a quarterback on June 28th? Actually, there are many reasons. Here is a list of the top point guards in this years draft.

    History of the 8th Pick
The New York Knicks first selection in this years NBA Draft is at the 8th position. All time greats Sam Jones and Robert Parrish were selected with this pick as well as current stars Andre Miller and Larry Hughes. Historically, the 8th selection has produced some of the NBA's top talent as well as having a special impact on New York Knicks history. This section will discuss the history of the 8th pick as well as presenting the top-10 #8 draft selections of all time.

    History of the 30th Pick
The New York Knicks will have the 30th selection in this year’s NBA Draft, acquiring the pick in the February 25th transaction that sent Nazr Mohammed and Jamison Brewer to San Antonio in return for Malik Rose. The pick, which originally belonged to the Phoenix Suns, will be the final selection of the first round. With a fairly deep talent pool, the Knicks figure to land a player who can help the team. Here are the top-10 #30 draft selections of all-time.
