Knicks Edge Portland on Larkin's Clutch Floater

by Charlie Widdoes

After a comfortable win in yesterday's Summer League opener, the Knicks found themselves tied with Portland with less than a minute to play this afternoon. That's when Shane Larkin, New York's Vegas floor general, took matters into his own hands and drove for the game-winning floater. They'd get a defensive stop on the ensuing possession to win 71-69 and remain undefeated in the desert.

Once again, Tim Hardaway Jr. led all scorers with 20 points and rookie Cleanthony Early chipped in 11 points and six rebounds. When the offense slowed, veteran Shannon Brown stablilized the Knicks and contributed 12 points of his own.

New York's next game will be Monday at 4pm on MSG Network.
