The Knicks City Dancers and Miami Steve Van Zandt of the E-Street Band were on hand to celebrate the grand opening of the new Times Square Hard Rock Cafe.

2005-06 Knicks City Dancers Chosen
After overseeing a weekend of auditions at Madison Square Garden, Knicks Manager of Entertainment Marketing Michelle Harris has selected the Knicks City Dancers for the 2005-06 season. A group of celebrity judges including MTV VJ Quddus and Z100 DJ Skeery Jones helped to select 16 dancers to join the team. Laura was chosen as the 17th dancer by fan voting online at NYKnicks.com.

Michelle Harris Named Manager, Entertainment Marketing
New York Knickerbockers Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Operations, Anucha Browne Sanders announced that Michelle Harris has been named manager, entertainment marketing. As Manager, Entertainment Marketing, Harris will oversee day-to-day operations for all dance and performance teams - Knicks City Dancers, Knicks City Kids, Knicks Tumblers, Liberty Torch Patrol, Timeless Torches and the Lil’ Torches - as well as recruit for kids talent searches and new entertainment acts.

After overseeing a weekend of auditions at Basketball City, Knicks Director of Entertainment Marketing Petra Pope has selected the Knicks City Dancers for the 2004-05 season. Knicks City Dancers 2003-04 Team Selected
The Knicks City Dancers Open Audition was held Sunday August 17 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, with final auditions taking place the following Monday. Seventeen women were selected to join the KCD for 2003-2004 at the finals, with the last team spot chosen by fans in our online fan voting. Congratulations to all the new team members!

With KCD tryouts happening later this summer, Marcella will give you the best insight on what it takes to be a part of NBA's hottest dance team! Marcella, a second-year Knicks City Dancer, has been dancing for over 17 years.
She's 100% Italian - she speaks the language fluently and is the first generation of her family in the USA. A philosophy major at Rutgers University, Marcella plans on attending law school to specialize in entertainment law.

Knicks City Dancer Co-Captain Heather Live Chat
Heather, the Co-Captain of the Knicks City Dancers, has been dancing with the squad for five years.
She's also in her second season of heading up the Knicks City Kids dance team. Beside dancing for the Knicks, she also spends her summers dancing for the New York Liberty.
Heather has sung the National Anthem before Knicks and Liberty games, and is pursuing a career in the media. She currently works for a local news station here in New York City as an Assignment Editor and field producer, and hopes to enjoy a career as a journalist.
