Bio: One of the most prolific scorers in the 80's... Three All-Star Game appearances and three All-NBA designations (first or second team) in five seasons in New York... Became the first and only Knick to win the NBA Scoring Title in 1985, averaging 32.9 points per game... During the 1984 season, King became the first player since 1964 to score 50 points in consecutive games... Scored 60 points on Chirstmas day in 1984, becoming the tenth player to score 60 or more points in a game... Averaged 34.8 points per game during the 1984 NBA playoffs... Scored a franchise record 46 points twice against Detroit during the 1984 playoff run... Playoff franchise leader in points per game (31.0)... Torn anterior cruciate ligament in right knee made him miss the 1985-86 season and all but six games of the 1986-87 season.. Scored over 19,000 points over his storied career... Holds franchise record for most 40-plus point games in a single season (13)... Second on all-time club list in scoring average (26.5) and fourth all-time in field goal percentage (54.3)... Knee injuries cut his career short, retiring in 1993
