Stat Of The Game
Amar’e Stoudemire posted his fifth consecutive 30-point effort with 34 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks over 39 minutes. He’s the first Knick since Stephon Marbury, Feb. 4-11, 2005, to hit the 30-point plateau in five consecutive games. The franchise record is seven straight 30-point outings set by Willie Naulls from Feb. 22 – Mar. 4, 1962. No other Knick has hit the mark in at least six straight.Turning Point
Down seven with 8:32 remaining in the third, the Knicks went on a 12-0 run to give them an 82-77 lead with 5:16 left in the frame. While the Wolves would threaten at times over the next quarter and a half, they were never able to get over the hump and in the end The Garden crowd celebrated the Knicks' fifth consecutive win.Quote Of The Game

"I have been with (Amar'e Stoudemire). He can go close to 82 games…but his power, strength and now his outside shooting…it just seems like it is easy. He has that ability to rise to the occasion. There is no reason why he can’t continue this."-- Mike D'Antoni
