Stat Of The Game

One game after holding the dynamic Miami Heat to just 88 points, they gave up 91 through three quarters as the Atlanta Hawks scored 30, 30 and 31 points in each quarter.

Turning Point

The Knicks cut a 24-point deficit in the third quarter to five with under four minutes to go, and were down by just six with 3:19 left when Al Horford hit a cutting Joe Johnson for an easy deuce with 3:00 left. The play seemed to take the wind out of the Knicks sails as Johnson scored six straight points to give the Hawks the win.

Quote Of The Game

“We came out soft and paid for it...Hopefully we'll take the message to heart.” - Mike D'Antoni
