Knicks Swap Phil Jackson for Micheal Ray Richardson in '78
(1978) Knicks trade forward Phil Jackson and 13th overall pick in 1978 NBA draft (Winford Boynes) to New Jersey in exchange for the fourth overall pick in 1978 NBA Draft (Micheal Ray Richardson) and seventh overall pick in 1979 NBA Draft (sent to Seattle on Aug. 28, 1978 as compensation for signing Marvin Webster; Vinnie Johnson).
(1994) Knicks play their first NBA Finals game in 21 years, falling to the Rockets in Houston 85-78. The teams combine for 63 second-half points, which marked an all-time NBA Finals low for a half.
