Basketball Tournament

The New York Knicks and Zipway inaugural "March to the Garden" 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament opening rounds took place March 24th at Martin Luther King Jr. High School. The Final Four teams of each bracket played out the championship round on the floor of Madison Square Garden on April 15th. The New York Corporate Basketball League helped run the event for 40 proud teams from some of the most competitive players in New York City. Knicks Legends John Starks, Larry Johnson, & Anthony Bonner along with current players David Lee & Wilson Chandler appeared with the Knicks City Dancers and the music of DJ Hill to add to the tournament atmosphere.

The March to the Garden Final Four games were extremely entertaining, competitive, and well played. All teams had a phenomenal experience and were able to share it with their family, friends, and coworkers.

In the Open Division, perennial 3 on 3 tournament champions John Wiley defeated the Dream Team, to win the Championship. In the 40 and Older Division, Lakeland Storm outlasted Elite Access to win the championship. Each player on the Championship teams received deluxe New York Knicks gift bags and they will receive a Zipway apparel deal as well as a complimentary luxury suite at a future Knicks home game during the 2009-2010 season.
