Knicks Bowl 2010
On Monday, February 1, 2010, Knicks players, special guests and fans bowled for a cause at “Knicks Bowl XI”, a fun-filled, celebrity-studded event, giving the team’s loyal supporters the opportunity to bowl with their favorite athletes and celebrities. Proceeds from the event went to the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit charity that works with all areas of Madison Square Garden to make dreams come true for kids in crisis. Since 2000, the Knicks have raised more than $1.5 million through the annual Knicks Bowl event and touched the lives of 134,000 children through its many efforts.
The entire 2009-10 New York Knicks team, alumni and personnel, including David Lee, Nate Robinson, Al Harrington, Allan Houston, John Starks and Walt “Clyde” Frazier as well as WNBA All-Star Shameka Christon of the New York Liberty and MSG Network broadcasters Mike Breen, Tina Cervasio and Jill Martin attended Knicks Bowl at Chelsea Piers. Other celebrity guests included Anthony Anderson, cast members from "Jersey Shore", Bobby Cannavale, Miss USA and Miss Universe.
