The partnership will include full support of KeySpan’s “Hoops for Charity” tournament benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute and the creation of a “KeySpan Night” for the Knicks-Memphis Grizzlies game on Friday Mar. 24.

“KeySpan is pleased to partner with the Knicks in support of this worthwhile cause,” said Robert B. Catell, Chairman & CEO of KeySpan. “We are excited to take the first step in an ever-growing relationship between two very strong brands.”

The first event the Knicks will assist with will be KeySpan’s Hoops for Charity Tournament on Friday Mar. 3 at Lynbrook HS in Lynbrook, NY. The event boasts over 240 KeySpan employees and will benefit the Diabetes Research Institute, which the Knicks will support with auction items, interactive activities and other promotional events. The team will also continue the support later in the month, offering all KeySpan employees the opportunity to attend the game on the 24th. All KeySpan employees will receive a replica John Starks jersey and a portion of the proceeds will go to diabetes research. The team will support the partnership through promotional announcements and other on-site activities at KeySpan’s Brooklyn and Long Island offices, as well in-arena during Knicks games.
