Garden of Dreams Foundation & The Heart to Heart Foundation Address Heart Health with Tri-State Area Students

New York Knicks Ronny Turiaf partnered his foundation, The Heart to Heart Foundation, with Garden of Dreams to host a day of heart health testing at Garden of Dreams’ partner school, PS/MS 218 in The Bronx on March 3rd. The day began with an assembly for nearly 200 students addressing heart health awareness with Cardiologist, Dr. Martin Goldman and Dr. Lori Croft and medical student volunteers from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. Ronny joined both doctors to share his personal stories and his ongoing commitment to raising awareness among young people on the importance of heart health through his “Day of Testing” programs planned throughout New York schools. Following the assembly, 100 pre-selected students received an echocardiogram and other health screenings. Knicks representatives and Alumni Relations & Fan Development Advisor John Starks were on hand to host a basketball clinic after students complete all of their screening.
