Dennis Reed (Richmond, VA): What's the key to your training regime?

KCD Marcella: It's basically dedication. You need to focus on working hard every single day. You need to pick a goal, and focus on that all the time.

joe (bloomfield): I think you dance very well. How long you been dancing?

KCD Marcella: I've been dancing since I was three years old. So about 17 years now. I have done all sorts of studio dancing, and was a cheerleader in college as well. I've spent a long time training.

Tameka (Brooklyn, NY): Hi Marcella. The Knick City Dancers are the best dancers in the NBA and your dance outfits are cute. I just moved to the NYC area. I'm thinking about trying out for the Dance Team this summer. Can you give me any advice so I can better prepare myself?

KCD Marcella: My number one piece of advice is to get into as many dance classes as possible. Mix up your forms of dance so you have a wide variety of styles to choose from. Keep a healthy body, and always have an optimistic outlook on life.

Malika (Brooklyn,NY): Hey Marcella, how does it feel to be dancing in the World's Greatest Arena?

KCD Marcella: Dancing in front of MSG is an experience every single time. There is always a huge audience, and it's a great feeling to get the applause from that many people. It's a bit intimidating, but it's well worth it.

Malika (Brooklyn, NY): What are your other goals in life besides being a city dancer?

KCD Marcella: Eventually, I would to go to law school - maybe entertainment law.

dede, nyc: What kind of dancing do you like to do on your own time?

KCD Marcella: Everything really. Some hip hop, maybe. I used to take ballet seven days a week, so I like a bit of everything.

dizzy: Do you have any favorie dancers?

KCD Marcella: I admire Janet Jackson for her dancing. Jennifer Lopez is also an amazing dancer. Those would be two of the dancers I admire. My former dance teachers were also great.

greg, ohio: What are your hobbies?

KCD Marcella: I have plenty. I like to read, travel, go to the beach and spend time with my family. I also like to run and I really enjoy being a student.

hattie: Any plans for how long you will dance with KCD?

KCD Marcella: That is always up in the air. We have to reaudition every year. I've been with the team for two years. Dancing for the Knicks has been a great opportunity. We'll just have to see what the future holds.

KCD Marcella: Dream. Believe. Achieve. If you can dream it, you can believe it. And if you believe it, you can achieve it. Thanks.
