MSG Announces NY Knicks 2008-09 Television Schedule

New York, NY October 7, 2008 – MSG announced today the official New York Knicks 2008-09 television schedule. All 82 Knicks regular season games are scheduled to be televised on MSG, and for the first time, all games will be telecast in high-definition. MSG will also telecast seven preseason games this season. A complete schedule is included below.

The Knicks open their 2008-09 campaign at Madison Square Garden on October 29 at 7:30 p.m. against conference rival, the Miami Heat. In another early season highlight the Knicks head to Boston on November 18 at 7:30 p.m. to battle the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics. “Knicks Game Night” returns this season as the 30 minute definitive pre-game show, with interviews, game analysis and features.

Mike Breen, the league’s preeminent play-by-play announcer, will return to the TV booth alongside Knicks color analyst and Hall of Famer Walt “Clyde” Frazier. Al Trautwig will resume his duties as pre-game and halftime host, and Tina Cervasio will serve as MSG’s on-site reporter. Additionally, Jill Martin will return with her popular “Gimme a Minute” halftime celebrity interviews.

New York Knicks basketball on MSG is directed by Howie Singer, produced by Spencer Julien, and Kevin Meininger serves as senior coordinating producer. Lydia Murphy-Stephans is executive vice president of programming and production for MSG Networks, and Jeff Filippi is vice president of production.
