SACRAMENTO, CA, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 --- The Sacramento Kings today released the 2008-09 local television schedule, with all regular and preseason games available to Kings fans throughout the region in a combination of games on Comcast SportsNet California (CSNCA) and News10 (ABC).

Maloof Sports & Entertainment’s commitment to providing the best experience to Kings fans continues with production of all 2008-09 Kings games by MS&E’s six-time Emmy Award-winning production team, including all Kings home games at ARCO Arena produced in High Definition (HD).

Comcast SportsNet California will carry 75 Kings games this season.

“The growth and evolution of our network – which as of today has been renamed Comcast SportsNet California – continues to be fueled by our robust partnership with the Kings,” said Comcast SportsNet California Vice President and General Manager Larry Eldridge. “Our schedule of 75 Kings telecasts this year includes 38 home games presented in HD, underlining the ongoing commitment of both Maloof Sports & Entertainment and Comcast SportsNet California to provide stellar and visually exciting sports programming to Kings fans and viewers throughout Northern and Central California.”

News10 will tip-off the season opener on October 29, as the Kings take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at 5 p.m. at Target Center. Following the season opener, all games broadcast on News10 will air on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, with all home games produced in High Definition. Comcast SportsNet California opens its slate of games from Miami on October 31 at 4:30 p.m.

“News10 is excited once again to connect with our community and bring the passion of the Kings to our viewers,” says Russell Postell, President and General Manager of News10. “Our partnership with Maloof Sports & Entertainment and the Kings will be a fun collaboration this season with most of our broadcast games airing Friday, Saturday or Sunday. What better way to spend your weekend than with News10 and the Kings!”

“As partners on the air and in our community, Comcast SportsNet California and News10 have once again helped the Kings achieve the very important goal of serving the most possible Kings fans on television,” said John Thomas, president of Maloof Sports & Entertainment. "And the Maloof family’s commitment to quality continues with HD production of all Kings home games by MS&E’s Emmy Award-winning production team.”
