The Sacramento Kings introduced their 2008 NBA Draft picks at the team's practice facility Saturday.

"I'm happy I get to introduce three new players to the team, especially three players with the ability and the background that we have sitting up here today," Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie began. "It becomes part of your future and it's just great to have them all here at the same time."

Grinning from ear to ear, Jason Thompson, Sean Singletary and Patrick Ewing Jr. shared their excitement on becoming the newest members of the franchise.

"I'm real excited," Thompson said wearing a Kings hat and blue pinstriped suit. "I had two workouts here and it was a long journey with the workout process, I had like 16 or 17 and it's great to be a King right now. The workout journey just ended, but my NBA journey is just beginning and I'm real excited and ready to get to work."

"It means a lot to be a professional, especially for a high-class organization like this," Singletary said sporting a tan suit. "I'm real excited about it."

"They have a great tradition here," Ewing Jr. said wearing tan pinstriped suit and Kings hat. "They have a great GM and coach and the team is up-and-coming in the League, so it's going to be a great experience. The team is young; it's going to be exciting."

After the introductory press conference each player took photos with their new Kings jerseys -- Thompson (34), Singletary (7) and Ewing Jr. (0) -- and then broke off into one-on-one interviews with the media.

With each player coming from the East Coast, the whirlwind doesn't stop at the press conference, as all three are meeting Kings fans on Saturday at Arden Fair Mall as well.
