Sacramento Kings Announce Dance Team Auditions for 2014-15 Season
SACRAMENTO, CA - The Sacramento Kings today announced open auditions for the 2014-15 Sacramento Kings Dancers. Kings Dancers are an integral part of the team’s in-game entertainment and are actively involved in making a positive impact locally and globally.
Participants will learn a series of dance combinations and perform in front of a panel. Finalists will be invited to initial callbacks on Saturday, July 19 and final callbacks on Sunday, July 20.

Open auditions led by Kings Dancers Manager Jennifer Santich, Kings Director of Entertainment Tom Vannucci and choreographers Stephanie Wise and Joseph Creagh. Auditions are free and open to dancers at least 18 years of age (by October 1, 2014). Hip-hop and jazz background is preferred and ballet familiarity is a plus. All participants must bring a resume and headshot and wear a two-piece dance ensemble with nude nylons/tights and non-marking soled shoes. Contestants will be considered by Kings Entertainment Department and KCRA anchor and former Kings Dancer Lisa Gonzales.
Selected dancers will serve as team ambassadors, perform at home games, represent the Kings in media, and are involved in community events. The team makes hundreds of appearances in the Sacramento region annually and has represented the Kings and NBA in national and international tours, including a trip to India during September 2013 and China in July 2014. There is an upcoming trip planned to China in October 2014.
The 2014-15 Sacramento Kings Dancers will be announced on Friday, July 25, 2014.
