SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Feb. 10, 2012 -- Less than 1,700 tickets remain for Saturday evening’s Sacramento Kings-Phoenix Suns game at 7 p.m. at Power Balance Pavilion, and seats are selling fast after the Kings thrilling 106-101 home victory Thursday night over the Thunder, who entered play sporting the best record in the NBA.
Aired nationally on TNT, the “Black Thursday” win over Oklahoma City featured a raucous, capacity crowd of 17,317 and strong performances by Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins. The sellout marked Sacramento’s third this season, already matching last year’s total. The team previously sold-out back-to-back contests versus the L.A. Lakers on Dec. 26 and Chicago Bulls on Dec. 29, the first consecutive sellouts since April 2007.
Additionally, the Kings have hosted crowds of 16,000 or more in five games at Power Balance Pavilion in 2011-12, just one fewer than all of last season.
Saturday's game against two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash and the Suns represents the last chance for fans to catch Sacramento at home until Feb. 28 versus the Utah Jazz following a six-game East Coast road trip.
