Tyreke Evans to miss Rookie Challenge

SACRAMENTO, CA, February 17, 2011 -- Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans will miss the 2011 T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot, it was announced today by Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie.

Last year’s MVP of the Rookie Challenge, Evans will meet with Dr. Richard Ferkel on Monday (2/22/11) in Los Angeles for further evaluation, and will be replaced on the Sophomore Team by Oklahoma City’s James Harden.
