KINGS SIGN JASON THOMPSON

SACRAMENTO, CA, Tuesday, July 8, 2008 --- The Sacramento Kings have signed rookie forward-center Jason Thompson to a multi-year contract, it was announced by Kings’ President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie. Thompson was Sacramento’s first round selection (12th overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft out of Rider. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Thompson, who enjoyed a four-year career at Rider, finished with averages of 16.7 points (.526 FGs, .667 FTs), 9.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 blocks per game through 122 outings.
