Kings Launch Ambassadors Program to Enhance Unified Fan Engagement Efforts

SACRAMENTO, CA, June 2, 2011 -- The Sacramento Kings today launched the third year of the Kings Ambassadors Program in their continuing effort to strengthen the bond between the Sacramento community and the team.

“This season’s group will no doubt bring a renewed energy toward our efforts to engage our fans with special campaigns and direct feedback so their voices can be heard,” said Gavin Maloof, co-owner of the Kings.

The new members of the Kings Ambassadors Leadership Council were named during a luncheon and press conference at Power Balance Pavilion with Maloof, Kings forward Donté Greene and former guard Doug Christie.

The Kings Ambassadors are made up of respected community leaders from different regions, businesses and backgrounds but are all unified by the common desire to see the Kings flourish on and off the court.

The Leadership Council includes honorary chairs Greene, Christie and Kings TV play-by-play announcer Grant Napear. The Leadership Council members include Fred Millar, Alice Perez, Randy Kajioka, Ed Koop, Erika Bjork, John Cassidy, Ryan Golpeo, Tim Ray, Chevo Ramirez, Anthony Pescetti, Chris Eaton, Troy & Yvonne Glenn, Seth Kaplan, Bob Rosenberg, Randy Paragary, Kelly Brothers, Kenny Fahn, Bill Herenda, Steve Cottingim and Erica Rau. The remaining Kings Ambassadors committee will be by invite, formed following the initial Leadership Council meeting.

Kings VP, Ticket Sales & Service Phil Horn will serve as the Program Executive Liaison, while Account Executive Andrew McCulloch will hold the distinction of Program Coordinator.
