Kings To Play In 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League In Las Vegas
Eighth straight appearance in the summer league
SACRAMENTO, CA ---- The Sacramento Kings will field a team to compete in the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas from July 11-21 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Sacramento will play at least five games, beginning with its first contest on Friday, July 11, against the San Antonio Spurs.
This summer’s event will again feature the tournament-style format first debuted last year that will crown the Samsung NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 21. The 24 teams – 23 NBA teams and one NBA Development League Select team – will compete in three preliminary round games from July 11-15 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 21. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games. Seeds 1-8 earn a bye in the first-round games played on Wednesday, July 16.
The team will provide comprehensive coverage of Summer League at Kings.com. NBA TV will televise Samsung NBA Summer League games from Las Vegas with a complete schedule of games and broadcast information to be released at a later date. Additionally, fans will once again be able to watch, via a subscription-based package, every Samsung NBA Summer League game live on NBA.com and on the NBA Summer League app.
