Kings to Open 2013-14 Training Camp on Oct. 1 in Santa Barbara

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento Kings will tip-off 2013-14 training camp with a 10 a.m. practice on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Pavilion Gym in the Recreation Center located on the University of California, Santa Barbara campus. The Kings will practice through Sunday, Oct. 6 before traveling to Oakland for the team’s preseason opener against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena on Monday, Oct. 7.

Training camp will continue in Sacramento on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in preparation for an exhibition matchup with the L.A. Lakers at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Thursday, Oct. 10. All practice sessions during the remainder of the preseason will be held at the Kings Practice Facility.

Additionally, the team will hold its annual Media Day on Monday, Sept. 30 from 2-5 p.m. at the Kings Practice Facility, where players, coaches and select basketball personnel will be available for interviews and head shot photographs.

Sacramento will make its 2013-14 home debut versus the L.A. Clippers on Monday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. for the first of three preseason games at Sleep Train Arena, including a matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, Oct. 17 and the exhibition finale against Golden State on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
