Kings to Join Wells Fargo for 3rd Annual Season of Giving Surprise Bicycle and Helmet Giveaway

--Kings and proud partner Wells Fargo continue tradition of donating 101 new bikes and helmets to local children--

Who: Representatives from the Sacramento Kings, Wells Fargo, Pizza Guys and 101 deserving children and their families.

What: The Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services has identified 101 deserving kids to receive a new bicycle and helmet this Christmas. Children will arrive at Sleep Train Arena unaware of the gifts awaiting them behind a curtain, set to reveal their new wheels. The event will be chronicled and the recipients recognized at halftime of the Kings contest against Portland later that evening. Kings partner Pizza Guys will cater a pregame lounge event for those in attendance. All of the donated bikes were purchased at Walmart, where DeMarcus “Santa Cuz” Cousins made an appearance earlier in the week to chaperone 50 children on holiday shopping sprees.

As part of the NBA Cares Season of Giving campaign, the Kings host several charitable events scheduled throughout the holiday months in an effort to brighten the lives of those less fortunate.

Sunday’s surprise bicycle giveaway represents the sixth event in December associated with the team’s Season of Giving efforts. Visit Kings.com/community for more information.

When: Saturday, December 23, 2012 from 2:30-3 p.m.

Where: Sleep Train Arena Box Office Drive (1 Sports Parkway, Sacramento, CA 95834).
