SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Dec. 18, 2012 – Sacramento Kings Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jeff David was recently named a winner of Sacramento Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” Award.
The annual awards recognize outstanding professional leaders ahead of their time, as all recipients are under the age of 40. David, 38, joined a diverse group of honorees representing a variety of backgrounds, from public service to private enterprise. Winners were chosen from a field of more than 200 nominees by a panel of judges and acknowledged at a ceremony hosted by Cafeteria 15L in Sacramento.
“I’m thrilled to be associated with an incredibly impressive group of individuals,” said David. “As business leaders we have a responsibility to give back to our community, and the Kings organization has offered me and fellow colleagues a multitude of opportunities to make a meaningful difference in Sacramento.”
Under David’s leadership, the Kings “Project Assist” initiative this year has already raised $550,000, benefitting dozens of schools and local nonprofit organizations. In addition to overseeing daily operations of the team’s sales and marketing departments, David also played an integral role in negotiations with Sleep Train Mattress Centers that resulted in a new multi-year arena naming rights agreement.
