Kings Acquire Luc Mbah a Moute

SACRAMENTO ---- The Sacramento Kings announced today the acquisition of forward Luc Mbah a Moute (BAH-ah MOO-tay) from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for two future second-round picks, according to Kings General Manager Pete D’Alessandro.

“Luc is one of the premier defenders in the game today, with a proven ability to guard a variety of different scoring threats on a nightly basis,” said D’Alessandro. “His versatility in this respect will go a long way in helping us improve dramatically on the defensive end of the floor. We’re excited to welcome Luc to the Kings family.”

Mbah a Moute appeared in 58 games (started 45) for the Bucks last season, accruing averages of 6.7 ppg (.401 FG%, .351 3pt%, .571 FT%) and 4.4 rpg in 22.8 mpg. He is averaging 6.9 points (.401 FG%, .290 3pt%, .679 FT%), 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 25.1 minutes per game in 335 career contests over five NBA seasons with Milwaukee (2008-09 – 2012-13). The 6-8, 230-pound forward from Cameroon was selected by the Bucks in the second round (37th overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft.
