Monday Marks Fans' First Opportunity to Purchase Individual Game Tickets for 2011-12 Kings Season

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Dec. 09, 2011 -- The Sacramento Kings today announced that individual game tickets for the 2011-12 season will go on sale Monday, December 12 at 10 a.m.

Led by third-year Kings Head Coach Paul Westphal, the 2011-12 team features a roster of exciting young players and returning fan favorites. Individual game tickets will be available at the Power Balance Pavilion Box Office, online or by calling 888-91-KINGS.

The initial release of individual ticket inventory to the Kings home opener on Dec. 26 against the L.A. Lakers sold out within two hours of the Season Ticket Holder presale this morning. As a result, no individual tickets to that contest will be available. Fans who want to guarantee a seat to the game can purchase a hot-selling “Back-in-Black Pack” or a full or partial season plan, available for as low as $10 a contest.

In addition to the “blackout” home opener against the L.A. Lakers, notable teams and stars making stops in Sacramento include holiday season matchups vs. 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls (Dec. 29), a New Year’s Eve affair against the N.Y. Knicks featuring All-Stars Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire (Dec. 31) and a New Year’s Day contest vs. All-Star Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets.

Other games highlighting the Kings schedule include Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic (Jan. 8), Northern California rival Golden State Warriors guided by backcourt duo Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis (Feb. 4), back-to-back NBA scoring champion Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder (Feb. 9), reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Blake Griffin and the L.A. Clippers (Mar. 1), the NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks (Mar. 9) and Eastern Conference stalwart Boston Celtics (Mar. 16).

The team's only home preseason game takes place on Dec. 20 against the rival Warriors. In addition to the exciting exhibition action, fans will have a chance to get their first glimpse of the new-look Kings, featuring Tyreke Evans, DeMarcus Cousins, J.J. Hickson, Chuck Hayes and rookies Jimmer Fredette, Tyler Honeycutt and Isaiah Thomas at the free Return Of The Kings Fan Fest on Dec. 15 at Power Balance Pavilion.
