SACRAMENTO, CA, March 6, 2010 ---- Kings fans can rally to support Tyreke Evans for NBA Rookie of the Year (ROY) and have a chance to have their voice heard live at ARCO Arena on the KingsVision Jumbotron at the ‘Rally for RekeROY’ game on Mar. 10 (Kings-Raptors) by recording a ‘Reke for ROY testimonial on the concourse during the Kings-Thunder game on Sun., Mar. 7.

Fans can record their testimonials by visiting Section 113 on the main concourse through the end of the third quarter at the Kings-Thunder game on Mar. 7, then return to rally for ‘Reke at the ‘Rally for RekeROY’ game on Mar. 10 to see if their testimonial is featured live at ARCO Arena before and during the game.

Making a major bi-partisan election year announcement, Sacramento Mayor and former NBA All-Star Kevin Johnson, along with other prominent local politicians and leaders, came together at a press conference on Mar. 2 to officially endorse Evans for NBA Rookie of the Year.

The bi-partisan group urged all Sacramentans to rally to show the nation how Sacramento is supporting Evans for NBA Rookie of the Year by attending ‘Rally for RekeROY’ Night at ARCO Arena on Mar. 10 when the Kings take on the Toronto Raptors at 7 p.m.

“Sacramento strives to be a world-class city, and Tyreke Evans is proving to be a world-class player,” Johnson said. “He has my official endorsement for the NBA Rookie of the Year award. I encourage all Sacramentans to show the nation how we support Tyreke by attending ‘Rally for RekeROY’ Night at ARCO Arena on Mar. 10.”

The first 10,000 fans in attendance for the ‘Rally for RekeROY’ game will receive an exclusive Cache Creek ‘Rally for RekeROY’ T-shirt. Fans will also be treated to a spectacular show during pregame introductions that includes black light special effects. The game will also mark the introduction of the R-O-Y chant at ARCO Arena.
