KINGS SIGN ROOKIE FREE AGENT LOUIS AMUNDSON TO CONTRACT
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. – The Sacramento Kings today signed forward Louis Amundson to a contract, it was announced by Kings’ President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Amundson, a 6-9, 225-pound forward from Nevada-Las Vegas, averaged a career-best 14.3 points and 8.6 rebounds a game in his senior season (2005-06) with the Rebels. He earned Second Team All-Mountain West Conference honors, All-District accolades from the NABC and USBWA. He finished his four-year career as Nevada-Las Vegas’ seventh all-time shot blocker (120) and 11th all-time rebounder (668). Amundson is the only player in Mountain West Conference history to have two career games of at least 20 points and 20 rebounds.
