QUOTABLES
“Obviously, this is disappointing. I don’t know what happened (in the second half). We weren’t patient. Obviously, there was Ray Allen. He had an answer every time. We just have to regroup. We have to win out there (in Seattle), come back here and see if we can get a win back at home.”
-Rick Adelman

    Round ONE

    SEATTLE LEADS 3-1

    GAME FOUR: SACRAMENTO 102 - SEATTLE 115
Six different Kings scored in double figures on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough to get past Seattle in their 115-102 Game 4 home loss. Sacramento led by as many as 19 points, but couldn’t hold off a strong second-half push by the Sonics. Peja Stojakovic paced the Kings with 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting, and Kenny Thomas pitched in with 15 and 14 rebounds.

    GAME THREE: SACRAMENTO 116 - SEATTLE 104
Mike Bibby scored 31 points to lead a balanced attack as the Kings got back into their Western Conference first-round series with a 116-104 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics. "We're in the playoffs now," Kings coach Rick Adelman said. "We had to play this game like it was our last. And we have to do the same on Sunday." The sixth-seeded Kings rebounded from a pair of disheartening losses in Seattle in which they displayed none of their firepower. The primary culprit was Bibby, their floor leader who made just 8-of-30 shots, including 0-of-7 3-pointers.

    GAME TWO: SACRAMENTO 93 - SEATTLE 105
A furious fourth-quarter rally brought the visiting Kings within eight points with two minutes to play, but Sacramento could not get any closer in Tuesday's 105-93 loss at Seattle. The Kings trail their opening-round playoff series 2-0. Sacramento was down by as many as 26 points in the third quarter, but embarked on a 15-0 run early in the final stanza. Bobby Jackson scored 10 of his team-high 17 points in the last period; Mike Bibby added 16 points. The Kings come home for a need-to-have Game 3 Friday (7:30 p.m. PT, ESPN).

    GAME ONE: SACRAMENTO 82 - SEATTLE 87
Jerome James had the game of his life with 17 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks as the Seattle SuperSonics held on for an 87-82 victory over the Sacramento Kings in Game One of their Western Conference first-round series. The third-seeded SuperSonics, who rely heavily on the jump shot, survived 36.5 percent (31-of-85) shooting and held off the sixth-seeded Kings, who erased nearly all of a 21-point third-quarter deficit but could not overcome their own shooting woes.
