As the first of five themed gatherings for its Premium Season Ticket Holders, the team held a Knights of the Round Table party to give Premium STHs added value for their loyalty and support.
"We heard from our Premium Season Ticket Holders and they wanted an opportunity to meet other VIPs during the experience of the game," Kings Senior Director, Premium Sales & Services Philip MacDougall said. "They wanted to have the opportunity to network in a social environment and capitalize on the excitement of the game. So we selected five games throughout the season and the response has been very positive. Our Premium Season Ticket Holders are calling us to make sure they get the dates on their calendars for the entire series because it is such a great time."
"This event is very rad," Kings Suite Season Ticket Holder Len McLeod agreed. "You’ve got music down there. You’ve got some very cool guests. It’s kind of like the best of all worlds. Now all we need is the Kings playing over here just to the side and we can all stay here. It’d be the raddest party in town."
While the ARCO Arena hardwood wasn't within the event’s confines, it was close enough that a bridge over a mote wasn't needed to get from the roundtable to the court. The candle lit setting boasted prime rib, salmon with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes and black olives, roasted fingerling potato and asparagus with pistachio and an assortment of hors d’oeuvres to fit the fancy of any royal palate.

As Christensen contemplated forgoing her evening of Kings conjecture for dancing amongst Kings Premium Season Ticket Holders, Sacramento Kings Dance Team members stopped by to mingle with the VIPs before putting their dancing shoes on.
Among those they greeted was 20-year Premium Season Ticket Holder Ed Marszal, who shared his gratitude for the royal pregame treatment before the Kings-Spurs showdown.
"It’s just a great reception," Marszal said. "We were just talking about it at the table -- it’s nice that the Kings are recognizing our participation by having something nice for us."
Along with his appreciation for the event, the longtime Kings fan spoke optimistically about the early returns on the Kings play in 2008-09.
"I’m impressed," Marszal said. "They’re doing a lot with what they have. And I think some of these younger players are going to mature quicker than I thought they were because they’re going to be playing more."
Of course, the Kings want to impress Marszal and all the other loyal Kings fans by giving them the same thing on the court that they get off the court – royal treatment.
