Dance experience:
I was never a studio dancer, but I did gymnastics for 10 years and then was on cheer and dance teams all through high school and college.
One thing people do not know about you: I’m super clumsy. I once broke my leg because I was standing with roller blades talking, lost my balance and fell. I am also a really good cook!
Is this your full-time job: I work as a substitute teacher for grades 7-12. I am also attending school online to get my teaching credential and masters in special education.
Career goal: Teaching moderate/severe special education in my own classroom and eventually coaching my own dance or cheer squad, as well.
Favorite restaurant in Sacramento:
Well, eating is one of my favorite things to do, so I have a lot of favorite restaurants depending on my mood! A few are Bandera or Houston’s, Chili’s, La Placita, P.F. Chang’s and Ruth’s Chris.
Favorite thing to do in Sacramento: My schedule is so hectic that sometimes doing nothing at home is my favorite thing to do. Another favorite is taking my nephew to the movies. But if I want to go out, I’m up for anything as long as I’ve got my girls!
What are your passions in life:
To always strive for happiness and never settle for less than I deserve. No matter what life throws at me, never give up on the goals I have no matter how long they may take to reach.
Favorite TV show: Well, I am now a TiVo addict, so I have a ton of shows! I am obsessed with reality TV and a few of my other favorite shows include Girlfriends, Desperate Housewives, All My Children, CSI, Law and Order and Grey’s Anatomy.
Favorite vacation spot: I would have to say anywhere tropical where I can lie on the beach, play beach volleyball, Jet Ski, snorkel and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Favorite movie: I can never get sick of Old School, Hitch, and all three of the Friday’s, of course!
Favorite song: “Must Be Nice” by Lyfe Jennings and “Love” by Musiq Soulchild
The people you admire most: Hands down, my family
Favorite SKDT dance routine:Opening Night against Detroit last year: “Baby Got Back.” I don’t know if any routine can top that!
Favorite thing about Kings fans: The support they show no matter what the team is going through. They always embrace our new players and get so loud. Our fans can def rock the house!
Favorite memory from your time as a member of the SKDT: There our so many unbelievable memories that I will never forget, but I’d have to say that having the opportunity to represent the Kings and the NBA in China was one of my favorite and most memorable times on the SKDT.
What does Passion 4 Purple mean to you: It means that our fans have more passion and dedication for our team than any other fans in the NBA.
What are you looking forward to during the 2006-07 Kings season: Being given the opportunity, once again, to represent the Sacramento Kings for another season and dancing for the best fans in the league. Also, getting to do some awesome appearances for some great charities.
