Season With Squad: Third

Dance experience: I started dancing when I was five years old with tap, jazz and ballet, then got into hip hop when I was older. I danced until I graduated from high school and hurt my back, so I had to hang it up for a while. I was part of our competition team and in top company. I have also taught dance since I was 11 years old.

One thing people do not know about you: How old I REALLY am!! I’ve always been very young at heart.

Is this your full-time job: Being on the team is a full-time commitment, and one that means a lot to me, but I also work at Bella Bru in Natomas when time permits.

Career goal: I’d really like to stay in the entertainment end of sports as long as I can. However, I’m also very interested in pursuing a career in crime scene investigation and forensics.

Favorite restaurant in Sacramento: Bella Bru, of course, but not just because I work there. I’m also a huge sushi fan, and the only place I’ll go is KRU on J Street.

Favorite thing to do in Sacramento: Perform at KINGS games! I also like to go on road trips and check out places I haven’t seen before.

What are your passions in life: I’ve always been passionate about doing what makes me truly happy, and doing it as best I can. I like to challenge myself and learn as much as I can about everything. I’m passionate about my family, how much they mean to me and how lucky I am to have them. I never take what I have in my life for granted. The most important thing in life is to be true to yourself.

Favorite TV show: CSI, Grey’s Anatomy and Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

Favorite vacation spot: Las Vegas for fun, Maui for relaxation and Italy for romance.

Favorite movie: Anything with ‘The Rock’ in it. Oh, and ELF.

Favorite song: That’s the most difficult question for a dancer to try to answer. I’ve always listened to so many different styles of music that I can’t possibly narrow it down to one song.

The people you admire most: I admire my parents for being such great role models and always supporting me in whatever it is I decide to do in life. They sacrificed a lot to give me what I needed to be where I am today.

Favorite SKDT routine: That’s a really hard question. All the routines have such different styles…I can’t pick just one. I like all of them for different reasons.

One thing people do not know about the SKDT: A common misconception people have about our DANCE TEAM is that we cheerleaders. We ARE a DANCE TEAM…NOT cheerleaders!!

Favorite thing about Kings fans: I love how loud and crazy our fans get! They get me so amped when they’re loud…it gives me a great rush when I’m out on the court!

Favorite memory from your time as a member of the SKDT: The night before my very first game I was standing on the top floor in the arena looking down onto the court. The place was completely empty, and I took in a deep breath and realized how huge it all was. At that moment, I realized I was getting to live my dream.

What does Passion 4 Purple mean to you: I think it represents how connected this community is to this organization and how much the organization connects with the community. Everyone is so passionate and feels so personally connected to one another that it almost feels like one gigantic family. That’s very unique for a pro sports team.

What are you looking forward to during the 2006-07 Kings season: This season has been pretty action-packed so far. The dance team is off to a fantastic start, and I can’t wait for more!!
