Willie’s Blog: Arrival in China

Hey Kings fans! I made it to China, it’s my first time in Asia and I’m super excited!

We landed in Beijing and the first night was a brief introduction to what we’re doing out here. We had a nice dinner and got to learn a little more about Visit California, which was cool.

Other than that we didn’t do much on the first day, which was probably smart because that flight was crazy long. Today was a little busier – we got to meet everyone in the NBA office here in Beijing and that was a lot of fun. We had a little Q&A and I got to show some of my personality to them and see how things operate over here.

It was cool to hear once we landed that I was named to an All-Rookie team. Honestly, for me, it’s great motivation to keep working.

I want to make sure that even though I’m traveling I’m still able to keep working on my game. So after that we headed to the Hi-Park basketball court so I could get a workout in with Kings Manager of Player Development Drake U'u. I got a lot of good things done today and worked on my shot a little bit.

Tomorrow we head out to some cool historic Chinese sites so stay tuned for my next entry!
