Trill Shines but Kings Slip

Following Friday's Summer League opener at Thomas & Mack Center, the Kings moved across the hallway to Cox Pavilion to battle the Denver Nuggets.

Reno Bighorns guard David Stockton made his return after missing the first game due to injury and tallied five assists. While, Willie continued his stellar defensive effort, soaring for a massive block in the first quarter.

Although Cauley-Stein and David Wear scored 15 and 19 points, respectively, Sacramento saw only one other player score in double-figures.

Denver, led by rookie Emmanuel Mudiay (19 points and 10 assists), ran away in the second half to secure the victory.

  • Shaquielle McKissic finished with 12 points to lead all Kings bench scorers.
  • Sim Bhullar left the team to join the Canadian National Team and play in the Pan Am Games in Toronto.
  • Sacramento connected on only 2-of-23 three-point attempts in the contest.
