In the closing minutes of a victory over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, Kings forward Rudy Gay added an exciting exclamation point to his team’s third win in a row.
After a steal by fellow forward Omri Casspi, Sacramento ran out for a four-on-one fast-break opportunity where Gay threw down a nasty dunk while also drawing the foul.
The fans in Sleep Train Arena exploded after the play, which would essentially seal a victory for the Kings. Hip-hop artist and well-documented basketball fan Drake was also in the building and his reaction spoke for itself.
After the game, Rudy shared his thoughts on his monster jam that helped put a stamp on the Kings first victory over the Rockets this season.
“Funny thing about it is, I didn’t even know I made it until I got up,” said No. 8. “I guess it was just cool to finish the game like that.”
