Highlight Moment:

Overshadowed at times by the explosive Jabari Parker, Hood had a couple of big games himself for the Blue Devils. Early in his sophomore season, Hood posted a career-high 30 points against East Carolina while also adding five rebounds. Yet, when the team really needed him, Hood stepped up. After losing a 74-66 matchup against North Carolina earlier in the season on the road, Hood and Parked teamed up to stave off No. 14 UNC at home, 93-81, on March 8. While Parker led the pack with a career-high 30 points, Hood was right on his heels with 24 of his own on 8-of-13 shooting.

Quotes:

“[Hood is] a very well-rounded and talented offensive player who can score in bunches. [He] has an accurate three point shot with great elevation and form on his jumper. [Hood is] very good off the bounce and shows good body control when finishing in the lane. [He] can elevate well and throw down some nasty dunks.” – NBADraftRoom.com

“Hood spent his one season at Duke totally overshadowed by Parker. But the Mississippi State transfer developed into a reliable shooter on the wing, shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.” – Gary Parrish, CBSSports.com

“How much a dismal tourney performance will hurt his stock remains to be seen, but some scouts do not have him pegged as a lottery pick. We are still high on him due to his versatility and scoring ability. One of Hood's main areas of weakness is lack of physicality and strength so that will be something that he will need to focus on leading up to draft workouts.” – HoopsHype.com
