Preview: Kings (16-28) at Cavaliers (27-20)

Tonight, the Kings enter an arena they’ve found some success in over the past four years. Sacramento has won two of the last four meetings in Cleveland and will look to sweep the season series against Kyrie Irving and the Cavs, who may be without LeBron James for the second-consecutive game.

Despite James missing Wednesday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Cavs won their season-high-tying eighth-straight game, 99-94, thanks to a career-high 55 points from Kyrie Irving.

  • Sacramento has won its last three games at home against the Cavs, but dropped their last road contest in Cleveland by 10 points in last February.
  • Late last season, when these two clubs met in Sacramento, the Kings earned the largest margin of victory in the series for either program − a 44-point win, 124-80.
  • After missing Wednesday night’s contest against the Trail Blazers, LeBron James is not predicted to play against the Kings for the second straight time as he nurses a right wrist sprain. Anderson Varejao is also out for the home team.
  • Last time out, Rudy Gay registered a team-high 22 points, with 17 of those coming in the first half against the Raptors.
