Boogie's Huge Night Not Enough in NOLA

DeMarcus Cousins did all he could on Friday night to secure the team's season-high-tying fifth-consecutive win against Anthony Davis and the Pelicans.

The All-Star center recorded 39 points and 20 rebounds, but a 14-4 fourth quarter run by the home team put Sacramento away.

Although Davis was mostly held in check, going 11-for-26 from the field, former Kings guard Tyreke Evans did the damage with 25 points and 10 assists, while shooting 10-of-15 from the field.

Rudy Gay chipped-in 18 points, but Sacramento only saw one other player record 10 points (Omri Casspi).

  • Cousins recorded his 44th double-double of the season and third straight.
  • DMC moved into second in career rebounds and fourth in career blocks in the Sacramento era.
  • The Kings four-game winning streak was the team's longest since its five-game streak in early November.
  • Quincy Pondexter connected on four of eight triples for 16 points.
  • Norris Cole added 12 points to lead all bench scorers.
