The Kings All-Star big man returned after missing three games with a lower back strain and following a slow first quarter, the Kings bounced back with a stellar defensive effort for the remainder of the game – holding the Mavericks to 24 percent from long range and a 13-point third quarter and 40-point second half.
The game marked only the 11th time this season the Kings had no players missing the game due to injury and they now sit at 6-5 when the full lineup is available.
Sactown forced 16 Dallas turnovers in the game and distributed the ball well, assisting on 22 of the team’s 36 field goals.
Head coach George Karl experimented with new lineups throughout the match, at times playing a combination of Seth Curry, Rajon Rondo and Darren Collison. The lineup paid off, as the three combined for 44 points.
