Before Julio Jones shined under the spotlight of one of sports biggest nights, the Atlanta Falcons star was also a high school basketball prodigy.
An Alabama native much like Kings All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, Jones once faced off against Cousins and his LeFlore High School team for a district playoff game.
While the final result was unclear, one takeaway from the matchup remains to this day. The audio of commenters reacting to a monster putback jam by the now Super Bowl ready receiver.
"Julio could fly," said Julio’s high school play-by-play commentators to Bleacher Report. "Literally…It was like he had wings and flew down from the rafters and put it back."
