Isaiah Cousins 101

With the second to last pick in June's NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings selected senior Isaiah Cousins from the University of Oklahoma.

The 6’5” guard was an integral part of the Sooners team that made it to the NCAA Final Four in 2016. He averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game during his senior year. Cousins never missed a single game in college and started 119 games out of 137 for the Sooners.

As a junior, Cousins led the Big-12 in 3-point field goal percentage, shooting at an astounding 45 percent clip from beyond the arc. He made the All-Big 12 Third Team his senior season while leading the Sooners with 168 assists.

The 22-year-old has excellent size at the point guard position and knows how to utilize it to his advantage when posting up smaller guards. He can score points in a hurry but is also a willing passer.

Cousins is the first player from Oklahoma to be selected by the Kings in the Sacramento-era.
