DeMarcus Cousins talks Sacramento with Sirius XM: ‘I Consider This Home’

Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins joined Sirius XM’s Justin Termine and Eddie Johnson as part of the station’s 2016-17 Kings preview show, detailing his hopes for the team and his season.

On his experience with Team USA:
“Just to be around that atmosphere and to see that work ethic, the daily routines and everything that goes on behind the scenes – there’s a lot I took back. I was a sponge around those guys and at the end of the day, I enjoyed the experience and I think I came out a better player from it.”

On Kings offseason moves:
“I think our team is at a new level. A level that gets us to where we want to be this season and Joerger, he’s the perfect piece to the puzzle…everything is perfect right now. It’s just about learning the system and get everything down…”

On Sacramento:
“This city is more than deserving of what’s happened so far and they deserve a lot more. As a team, we’re trying to get to that level and give this city what it deserves. I’m extremely happy to be here – I’d consider this home – I’m deeply rooted in the community and have family and friends here. Like I said, I consider this home.”
