After a string of impressive postseason performances, Bogdan Bogdanovic’s Fenerbahce Instanbul team capped off their season by landing the EuroLeague’s top prize.
Bogdanovic, whose rights were acquired by the Kings this past offseason, was a decisive factor for his team in the triumph over Olympiacos Piraeus. The first-ever EuroLeague championship for Fenerbahce, Bogdanovic paced his squad with a team-high-tying 17 points along with five rebounds in the 80-64 victory.
In five postseason contests, the Serbian guard averaged 17.8 points and 6.4 rebounds, as well as 53.1 percent shooting from three-point range.
“It’s an unbelievable moment,” said the 24-year-old guard. “I would like to thank all Fenerbahce fans. Euroleague [for being] such a great organization in Istanbul. As well as my family and my teammates who believed the whole season, even the hard times.”
