2008-09 Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Skills Challenge sponsored by SINGULAIR
This national skills program provides boys and girls, ages 9 to 14, with the opportunity to showcase their shooting, dribbling and passing abilities. This year's competitions took place in 35 NBA/WNBA/D-league cities between December 2008 and March 2009. The competition grew from just over 50,000 kids to more than 100,000 kids this season. The National Finals is being held in Orlando, Florida on May 15th. (Ages 9-14)

Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Pledge to Be A S.T.A.R. Summer Camps
The 2009 Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Summer Camps are traveling to eight (8) markets this summer. With NBA and WNBA players and Legends leading 250 local Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA members at each camp, particiapants will take part in a fun-filled day of basketball fundamentals, competitive games, Pledge to be a S.T.A.R discussions and an emphasis on the

Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Gatorade Championship Series
The 2008-09 Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Gatorade Championship Series takes place during the first half of the year, with tournaments being hosted in 16 NBA markets. This one-day, 16-team (eight boys & eight girls) tournament typical takes place from 9:00 am-3:00 pm with teams bringing ten (10) players of all skill levels. (Ages 13 and under)

Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA National Team
Every year, the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA National Team is selected and comprised of five (5) boys and five (5) girls from nearly 1,000 nominations. The team travels to NBA All-Star to represent the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA throughout the weekend and competes against local Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA All-Stars in an exhibition game at NBA All-Star Jam Session. Additionally, they are introduced in–arena on All-Star Saturday Night. (Ages 11-12)

2008 Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Discover Card Home Court Challenge
The Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Discover Card Home Court Challenge will take place from August 5–August 27, taking place at WNBA practice facilities or arenas. An estimated 50-100 kids per market will compete in the competition. Activities include Basketball Fundamentals and Drills, a timed Skills Competiton for two age divisions, and an autograph session with WNBA players, legends, and coaches who will be in attendance. (Ages 9-14)
